Q: What is Unique about Allen Avenue UU?

We Celebrate Diversity.

We are a Welcoming Congregation.
Our congregation's openness and the Unitaritian-Universalist principles encourage a broad range of beliefs and personal paths. We offer a warm, open, supportive community to all regardless of race, abilities or lifestyles. Both adults and youth have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive on our diversity. We are fortunate to have an exceptional minister, Rev. Myke Johnson, who challenges us to take a deeper look at our relationship and ourselves with the diverse community and world around us. Our adult and youth education programs help us understand and respect other cultures, religions, political perspectives and lifestyles.

Encourage Spiritual Growth.
There is a broad range of options for personal spiritual growth offered at Allen Avenue UU Church. You, or a member of your family, can choose to join a Spiritual Enrichment Group, attend Sunday Youth Religious Education programs, attend workshops that fit your personal spiritual path and gain spiritual and intellectual insights from Rev. Myke Johnson's services. During the year, particularly in the summer, members often lead services that reflect their own personal spiritual and intellectual related perspectives and stories.
